Every business wants something different from their website.  No two sites are the same.

With our larger, more sophisticated, bespoke sites, we always recommend that we produce what is known as a Requirements Document.  This is a document that is written after lengthy consultation with the client, and which details every aspect of the functionality and design of the website.  The document ensures that what you finish up with is exactly what you wanted.

The document also allows us to give you an exact price quote for the development of the site, and an accurate indication of how long it will take to build.

The document typically takes about two days to produce, and for that we do make a charge.  The charge however is fully refundable if you decide to proceed with the website build.

If a website company is able to give you a quote without performing the equivalent of the Requirements Document exercise, you should ask yourself how they are able to cost it without knowing your exact requirements!
